From hot Koffee to Cool as The Breeze, these fifteen tracks ought to quell your quarantine blues. Keep reading to find out the 15 songs yuh betta stream right now. If you’ve already heard them, then you’ll understand why they’ve made the cut.

Lila Iké – Solitude

Lila Ike: a social distancing icon. “Solitude” provides a perfect start to any self-care session – great for a day of pampering or even as mood music while indulging in a good book. Honestly, who can’t relate to needing a little alone time? Is that really too much to ask?

Sevana – ‘Mango’

Sevana has long been hailed a queen of visuals, but “Mango” ups the ante even more. Mango has naturally become a staple in the Jamaican diet, and the lyrics are perfect to serenade your boo. If you don’t have a partner, your mirror ought to provide a fine substitute. No one’s judging.

Protoje – Same So

To complete the In.Digg.Nation trinity, I’d like to dedicate this song to the coronavirus – the only thing in recent times that has truly had me rearranging all of my plans and dreams. On a serious note though, it would almost be a crime to not add this track to my playlist. There’s simply something about reggae ballads that leave you feeling enriched. Plus, who hasn’t been waiting on Protoje’s new music?

Friday Night Cru – Follow My lead

In celebration of the (finally) re-opened beaches and hotel attractions, I present to you: “Follow My Lead”. This track is perfect for your three-day vacay in Ochi. Chill on the beach, have a mini photoshoot, social distance, drink a beer or two, and call it a day. “Good vibes and good conversation” sold separately. Sorry.

Koffee – Lockdown

Expect a “where will we go” very soon from your quarantine entanglements. If the clips of Koffee dancing with Popcaan don’t have you itching to get back to ‘normal’, perhaps the nostalgia of a familiar voice will do the trick. Ah, 2018, when “Toast” was trending worldwide, and there were no limits to the time we could spend outside.

Stylo G, Ajji, & Busy Signal – Live For the Summer

With roughly six weeks to enjoy this year’s summer holiday, “Live For The Summer” was – and still is – the perfect hype track. Recommended to play in a car full of friends heading to your favourite spot, or on your way to work as you pretend it’s still summer. Thank me later.

Govana- Likkle Bit a Money

Govana’s energy is unmatched. Known for his catchy lyrics and sense of humour, “Likkle Bit a Money” does not disappoint. Already the source of numerous tweets and Instagram captions, the track pokes fun at those who tend to live above their means and sports memorable lyrics like “Life fi sweet like mi dip it inna honey”. One thing is certain, the track certainly has a buzz.

Busy Signal – Ahh Haa

If you ever need some extra motivation, our go-to track is Busy Signal’s “Ahh Haa”. The song details the experience of the ‘good life’ and drops a few gems on how to achieve the level of success you aspire to. One such lesson is “give tanks fi weh yuh got, nuh listen dirty mouth a chat”, encouraging us to chase our dreams despite the throng of naysayers. After a much needed break from the rush of life B.C (before coronavirus), now is the perfect time to make steps towards your goals.

Stalk Ashley – Open

Yet another ode to a familiar situation, “Open” details the frustrations of uncertainty in novel relationships. Even if you are unable to relate to the lyrics, the lilting melody and almost cosmic rhythm are more than enough to get you hooked on Stalk Ashley’s silky smooth voice. Fall in love at your own peril, she’s been known to leave her suitors high and dry.

Chronixx – Cool as the Breeze

True to the core of Chronixx, “Cool as the Breeze” is the ultimate feel-good track for this summer. This song epitomizes the freedom of a Jamaican summer; relaxing after a long day of work is a feeling we can all relate to. Whether enjoying the air by the beach, watching a vivid and dramatic sunset, or simply “steaming sativa”, “Cool as the Breeze” will never fail to elevate your mood.

Protoje – Like Royalty feat. Popcaan

Never one to be outdone, Protoje’s prolific works has landed him yet another place on our list. Released as a single preceding his latest album, ‘In Search of Lost Time’, “Like Royalty” pays tribute to those who assisted the artist on his journey. This song is a must-listen because it’s reminiscent of community, something to be especially grateful for with the trials that the year has brought.

Jada Kingdom – Budum

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5FdLqZxmkA

Jada Kingdom has been releasing hit after hit, and “Budum” is no exception. Featuring a playful rhythm, the track celebrates Jada’s body and its exceptional features, making it a WiN in our book. After teasing its release for weeks on her Instagram page, we were not disappointed. One ting wid ‘mumma heavy’, she nuh regular.

Popcaan – TWIST & TURN (feat. Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR)

We would be remiss not to mention Popcaan’s fixtape in our list. Released in August of this year, “Twist and Turn” made so many waves that it earned a place on the Obamas’ 2020 playlist. The beat sets the perfect mood for a slow whine with your significant other, or even just to relax with some friends. We’re happy to see that the iconic friendship is still going strong. Is it just me, or is Drake’s patois improving?

Intence – Antisocial

Intence is yet another up and coming artist who consistently releases popular music. “Antisocial” is particularly apt because it is now more important than ever to keep ourselves to ourselves. The song focuses on the heavy criticism that has inevitably become a part of the dancehall atmosphere, and the artist’s decision to stay true to himself despite that. Intence has certainly made a name for himself as an artist to watch, and we’re excited to see what his future holds.

Shenseea – Good Comfort

Because who couldn’t do with some good comfort right now?
