The wheels of “The Best Weekend Ever” are once again in motion. On April 30th, the team behind “The Best Weekend Ever” held its media launch at the AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston. During this event, many exciting details were revealed about the upcoming weekend series and how they plan to make this Independence Weekend the “The Best Weekend Ever.”

Some things remain unchanged, with the series still scheduled for Jamaica’s Independence Weekend, from August 2nd to 6th, on the beautiful north coast of Ocho Rios. However, “The Best Weekend Ever” promises a renewed commitment to their patrons, ensuring them the best time ever with a few exciting changes.

One of the most thrilling announcements for attendees is the addition of the number one brunch from Miami, “Rise & Toast.” This new addition signifies the growth and inclusivity of “The Best Weekend Ever,” providing partygoers with more options in every aspect. The inclusion of “Rise & Toast” will result in a change to the previous schedule used in recent weekends, but patrons are unlikely to have any issues with the proposed new schedule. With authority, “The Best Weekend Ever” has extended the weekend to five days to accommodate this new addition, shifting the schedule as follows:

The Best Weekend Ever
  • Day One/August 2: I Love Soca
  • Day Two/August 3: DayBreak and Milk & Honey
  • Day Three/August 4: Zimi Seh Beach
  • Day Four/August 5: Rise & Toast, and Allure
  • Day Five/August 6: Late Check-Out

In addition to demonstrating their commitment to their patrons, “The Best Weekend Ever” also shows its belief in the economic development of St. Ann through the creation of entertainment experiences, as they stated.

Jywanza Hall, Director of BWE, said at the launch, “We believe that the entertainment industry plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth and fostering community development. That is why, for the second year in a row, we are partnering with the St. Ann Business Community to give our patrons a value-added experience as they enjoy the adventures, restaurants, bars, and spas in the area.”

Taking their interest in the development and continuity of the entertainment industry a step further, the BWE team will select final-year students enrolled in the Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management Programme at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus for an opportunity to complete their mandatory internship with their experienced team. The BWE team expressed their excitement to share the wealth of knowledge accumulated through years of hard work.

With new additions, community packages, and accommodating schedules, “The Best Weekend Ever” has many surprises in store for the 2024 staging, offering a premium entertainment package. This Independence Celebration is set to be epic on The Best Weekend Ever.
