Audiomack has found a home within the Caribbean, as it is a free, easy-to-use digital streaming platform available across all of the countries within the region. They have also made a name for themselves when it comes to their support for young, rising talent. Audiomack’s most recent initiative to push and promote young artists to a wider audience is ‘Hold A Medz‘, their newest series.
“We captured the artists up-close and personal in their natural setting; whether it was in the studio, photoshoot, at home vibing or in the streets hanging out.”
Tanya Lawson, Director of Caribbean and Afrobeats Music at Audiomack
The first two episodes of Hold A Medz feature rising dancehall artists Shaneil Muir and Rytikal. Muir is known for her singles “Yamabella” and “Same Guy (feat. Denyque)” and Rytikal is known for his singles “My World”, “King Ina War” and “Cookie Jar”.
Additionally, Audiomack recently announced their partnership with Warner Music to make the record company’s diverse catalogue available on Audiomack across Africa, Jamaica and Canada for the first time. This new deal is especially significant for the Jamaican market as their very own Popcaan is a Warner Music artist (via Drake’s OVO Sound), as well as recent signee, rising artist Projexx, who was just featured on International artist Wizkid’s latest album, Made In Lagos.
Audiomack continues to stake its claim in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean and has recently launched a new social media account with a focus on the Caribbean. Follow @audiomackcaribbean to keep up with what Audiomack shares with their audience.
Audiomack has numerous tools in its arsenal to showcase rising talent from the region. The first season of Hold A Medz began in December on the Audiomack World platform and the season will go on until early 2021, featuring a blend of Caribbean artistes from various genres. Their most recent episode features Royal Blu and it can be seen above.
