Music streaming and distribution platform Audiomack, has partnered with three of Jamaica’s premiere musical talents DJ Antsman, DJ Mac and Kashmatic, to create dynamic playlists for the streaming platform. Audiomack has branded the disc jocks ‘tastemakers’, as they will be tasked with creating personalized playlists to reflect various sounds of today, adding their musical flair of course.
DJ Antsman is signed to Romeich Entertainment from where he’s become a staple on the entertainment scene. Not only was he a headliner at the 2019 staging of the Dream Weekend Cruise in the Bahamas, but he has been a staple act continuously featured on the local event scene. While DJ Mac is no stranger to the entertainment space, he has been a headlining act on Backyaad BBQ Florida as well as Sandz Music Festival in Jamaica. He’s been performing at high school barbeque events, while being a student himself. However, the transition from student to global stage performer began with his signing to Young Kings Entertainment in 2019. Kashmatic on the other hand, is the newest to the entertainment scene, however he has had quite an unprecedented breakout story. His breakthrough resulted from the hashtag #BigOnlinePar which birthed a worldwide trending twitter-party in March of this year. He has become a favourite among online listeners and has since signed to Forever Entertainment, proprietors of the Big Par event.
A common factor among the trailblazing talents is the profound impact they have had thus far on the entertainment scene. The ability to adjust to a changing environment, or seizing an opportunity in the midst of adversity, are a few characteristics which separates the musically adept. The execution of DJ Antsman’s Quarantout mixtape, DJ Mac’s Genahsyde pt2 and Kashmani’s BIG FXXKIN’ PAR are testaments to why the disc jocks are selected as Audiomack’s 2020 regional ‘Tastemakers’.
