Jamar McNaughton, commonly known as Chronixx, released a fiery visual for his single ‘Dela Move’ on March 13, 2020. The JLL produced song is the first single from his upcoming album ‘Dela Splash’ which is set to be released later this year. Visuals for ‘Dela Move’ was directed by Nabil Elderkin and pays homage to South African musician Johnny Clegg’s ‘Dela’ from the movie soundtrack of ‘George of the Jungle’.
Inspired by veteran dancehall deejay Admiral Bailey’s 1987 hit ‘Della Move’, Chronixx’s ‘Dela Move’ comprises of rhythms created by African instruments, as well as a few elements of hip hop sounds. In the visual for ‘Dela Move’, Chronixx is seen in nature surrounded by rasta musicians as they create African rhythms using their instruments. Scenes of a young, fire breathing Chronixx going around the town are shown throughout the video to symbolize his destiny of becoming a powerful reggae artiste. Towards the ending of the video, Chronixx faces his younger self in a sugar cane field.
The video currently stands at 21,000+ views on Youtube. ‘Dela Splash’ will be the first album since the release of his Grammy nominated album ‘Chronology’. ‘Dela Splash’ has a fiery start and we are feeling great knowing that there is an album to come.
