Drake announced that he will be signing Popcaan to his OVO Sound record label. The announcement was made during their performance at Unruly Fest this morning at Lyssons Park in St. Thomas, Jamaica. It was a pleasant surprise welcomed by a roaring crowd and created a surreal moment for the fans.

“This is something we’ve been working on for a very long time. I just want to let everybody know finally, officially… 2019, Popcaan a sign to OVO!”

The Jamaican superstar, Popcaan, released his sophomore album July 20th, 2018. The album was released through Mixpak Records, the same label responsible for dropping his 2014 album ‘Where We Come From’. It features hits like ‘Love Yuh bad’, ‘Everything Nice’ and ‘Hustle’ featuring Pusha T.

Now Popcaan will join the OVO label alongside artists like PartyNextDoor, Majid Jordan, OB O’Brien and dvsn. We hope to hear collaborations with his label mates and an official collaboration with Drake very soon.
