Under the guidance of Commercial Manager Etmour Williams, Hyundai Jamaica has experienced tremendous growth in its brand equity and cultural relevance in recent times. The commitment to a modern premium vehicle caliber has expanded beyond the machines, now establishing a strong lifestyle element for the Hyundai brand in Jamaica.
“Hyundai is a brand that values creativity, innovation, and the power of cultural exchange. As a brand, we pride ourselves on being different and transcending borders—both physically and digitally. We have always been committed to fostering meaningful connections and embracing diverse perspectives. We recognize that art has the remarkable ability to transcend boundaries, provoke thought, and ignite emotions. The World Collide Art show encapsulates these very principles, bringing together various artists to converge and create something truly magical.”
Etmour Williams is a fervent believer in “personality marketing,” which justifies his inclination towards a cerebral approach needed to build Hyundai’s brand equity in Jamaica. At its core, his strategic brand alignment within the creative sector of the economy is what has yielded the astronomical results witnessed by Hyundai in Jamaica.
“Art is a vehicle that connects people, communities, and cultures. This event is a testament that when different cultures, ideas, synergies, and artistic expressions collide, something extraordinary is born. Hyundai Jamaica is passionate about celebrating the fusion of creativity and innovation, just as our vehicles embody a harmonious blend of design, technology, and performance. By partnering with World Collides, we are not only aligning with a platform that shares our values but also creating a unique space where the art landscape of Jamaica can flourish into something bigger.”
The brand’s involvement in Jamaica carnival with Gen XS saw celebrities like Winnie Harlow ‘chipping’ across the stage at the Hyundai showroom. The brand’s involvement in this year’s Miss Jamaica Universe 2023 has also been masterfully executed, as the content produced with the delegates has been circulating virally across social media. As summer draws to a close, Hyundai is concluding the fruitful season with unequivocal support for yet another creative venture by sponsoring the Worlds Collide Art Show.
Worlds Collide is an interactive art show curated by Hi Esteem Agency, which includes visual art, DJs, and live music. This year’s staging on August 24, 2023, features four of Jamaica’s best modern visual artists: Stefan Amali, Brittne Murray, Gabrielle Murdock, and Tajae Pringle. Patrons can expect musical selections by Zj Chrome, Dj Powa, Troy Findzi, and Dj Zyah Reds. Vocal sensation D’yani is the headline performer, and his live band set is highly anticipated. His modern dancehall classic “Feelings Remix” featuring Jada Kingdom has now amassed 22 million views on YouTube. Similar to the Hyundai brand, he is poised to increase his irrefutable command over the Jamaican market.
