“I Love Soca” was a captivating blend of madness, energy, and diverse personalities all converging at the UWI Mona Bowl. There’s no debate – I Love Soca stands out as one of the most anticipated events in Jamaica, and without question, it delivers every time.

From innovative concepts to creative backgrounds, the I Love Soca team consistently maintains the freshness of their events. The patrons found themselves on cloud nine, with the theme seamlessly represented through impressive décor and backdrops inside the venue. Contributing to the overall experience was the top-tier lineup of MCs and DJs, featuring some familiar faces who never fail to energize a crowd, such as Brush1 the Road Marshall, Bloodline Franco, Chromatic, Kryptic, Fyahman, and many more.

Despite the skillful mixing and juggling, it’s safe to declare that the highlight of the night was the performances. Nailah Blackman owned the stage, flawlessly delivering her catalog, which seemed to be a mandatory course at UWI as patrons sang along word for word. Just when soca enthusiasts thought her performance was concluding, she surprised the audience by introducing a friend, none other than Shenseea. She brought the venue to life with hits like “Good Comfort” and “Lighter,” turning I Love Soca into a spectacle of flags waving and people dancing in the air. Then came a friend of a friend in Stalk Ashley, concluding the all-female lineup when the “Bad Gyal” gave I Love Soca a short and spicy performance.

The end of the performances didn’t mark the end of the revelry. Soca enthusiasts continued to dance into the night, seemingly fueled by Campari, a sponsor of the event. The countdown to the next I Love Soca staging has already begun, leaving us eagerly anticipating when and where to secure our tickets.
