On this episode of Parlay, Carib Voxx met with the ever so bubbly Bella Blair. She talks about the beginning of her career doing comedy and the transition to music. “While comedy is a part of the performing arts and it’s being creative, that’s not what I wanted to do. I always wanted to be a singer, always wanted to do music, always just wanted to create songs for the Billboard charts, always wanted to get a Grammy; those were my dreams and aspirations”. Her EP titled Aura, produced by Kevaughn “Webber” Webster, she states is not just one set of songs or one genre, but a fusion of songs that represents her vibe and creation process. “I like to compare myself a lot to a turtle” citing the story of the Rabbit and the Hare, showing her resilience and how persistent she is with pursuing her goals in life. She also mentions the names of the female counterparts she is inspired by such as Jada Kingdom, Sevana, Lila Ike, Rush Rebel and Tosh Alexander.
