St. Thomas is a parish that is seen as undeveloped but ironically it is the parish that develops Jamaica. From their quarry industry which supplies many housing developments in Jamaica to being the birthplace of a national hero – Paul Bogle. St. Thomas is quite instrumental as it gave us Popcaan the ‘Unruly Boss’ who in turn gave us Unruly Fest.

Shining in the seaside community of Seaforth is upcoming recording artist whose government name is Shaquille Williams and being a colleague of Chronic Law, the term government is nothing new. Shaqstar’s passion for his music is unyielding as he believes his music is “showing the youths a better way”. He believes his music will be at the pinnacle and under the mandate of positivity, I’m sure it will be.

His affiliation with the popular ’6ix’ faction coming out of Montego Bay, Jamaica shouldn’t come as a surprise as his music is supplemented with eastern content but with a western flow. He speaks quite highly of the ’6ix’ and it as real as Shaqstar’s influence on St. Thomas.

His influence is not solely on music as he doubles as the CEO of Challa Entertainment which is an event entity. Challa Entertainment is responsible for some of the biggest events coming out of St.Thomas such as the popular Challa Weekend.

St. Thomas might lack essential establishments such as KFC but it makes up for its lack of wings with a number of wins. The question is put forward, do you prefer a zinger combo or seeing Drake the ‘OVO Boss’ perform. St. Thomas natives know the answer to that question.
