The spirit of classic reggae juggling is alive and well and Island.Wav is making sure of that. The Kingston-based production duo, made up of Keron “KaleX” Alexander and Aundre “RiddimBoss” Edwards, is shaking up the scene with Sacred, a lush roots reggae riddim that bridges soulful vocals with genre-bending creativity.
In an era where the one-riddim format feels more like a relic than a movement, Sacred comes through like a meditation, both nostalgic and fresh. With eight standout tracks from a lineup that includes Ras-I, Chris Malachi, Akina Eman, Imeru Tafari, Haile Celestial, Zhayna, King Izem, Royal Blu, and Indie Allen, Island.Wav curates a body of work that feels intentional, spiritual, and richly Jamaican.
“This project is about preserving the roots while creating something that sounds like now,” the producers tell CARIB VOXX. “We grew up on jugglings — from Diwali to Showtime. Those riddims gave artists room to get creative. We’ve always asked, why doesn’t our generation do that more? Sacred is our answer.”

And that answer resonates. Each artist taps into the riddim’s reverent energy to bring something intimate and distinct. From reflective chants and affirmations of self-love, to odes of healing and longing, the compilation flows like a ritual.
All tracks were recorded, mixed, and mastered at the legendary Harry J Recording Studio, a hallowed space for reggae lovers, now re-energized with new-generation vision. Distribution comes via DubShot Records out of New York, giving Sacred the global legs to carry its message far beyond the Rock.
Whether you’re a vinyl junkie, a SoundCloud scroller, or just now getting into reggae’s spiritual side, Sacred is an offering you’ll want to sit with. And it’s more than a riddim, it’s a revival.
Island.Wav’s Sacred is out now on all major platforms.
