To represent a culture and an entire genre of music requires much more than the music itself. The grace and poise with which Shenseea represented the region and our music at the recently concluded 67th Grammy Awards ceremony speak volumes about the caliber of her representational ability.

Riding high on the success of her topical smash single “Puni Police” her first hit for 2025, she has made a poignant and timely decision to become the brand ambassador for North American hair care giant, The Mane Choice.

The Mane Choice is an award-winning multicultural haircare brand and an authority in textured hair, delivering expert insights and guiding consumers through the brand’s core principles of Beauty, Health, and Science to ensure optimal performance. Since its inception in 2013, the brand has been dedicated to providing high-performance products that address the needs of diverse hair textures, empowering individuals to embrace their natural beauty with confidence.

“For me, hair has always been a form of expression. I have to choose the perfect hairstyle to complement the music era I’m in. My hair is one of my most important features. I could go weeks without makeup, but I could never go too long without getting my hair done,” says Shenseea.

The Mane Choice’s cultural inclusivity and forward-thinking mindset are guided by the tireless and brilliant work of its Director of Brand Marketing, Jamaican-born Michelle Harris.

Before working in the beauty industry, Michelle worked in the music industry in the marketing department of Warner, which helped her gain a deeper appreciation for the marketing capabilities of musicians in this modern paradigm of commerce.

She asserted, “We are thrilled to welcome Shenseea as The Mane Choice’s first-ever brand ambassador. As a true style chameleon, she exudes confidence and captivates attention wherever she goes—whether she’s on stage performing or sharing glimpses of her life with followers across the globe. Shenseea embodies our core values of authenticity and self-expression, showcasing the endless possibilities for styling with The Mane Choice products, which cater to a wide range of curl patterns and hair needs. Her fearless experimentation with hair and her ability to connect with audiences align perfectly with our mission, and we’re excited to partner with her to reintroduce The Mane Choice to our incredible community of consumers!”
