Antonio Wallace:
My name is Antonio Wallace, i am a photographer and videographer. I consider myself a creative artist. Capturing moments through a lens is a passion for me and i usually prefer street and urban style portrait photography. “It’s all about perspective” is what i like to tell myself when shooting and it helps me find new ways to go about doing shoots differently and separate myself from others. My journey began in 2016 with my phone and I’ve moved on to new equipment and started my own business. For anyone beginning or interested in becoming a photographer or videographer i’ll always urge them to begin, it’s something that you will love.
For each image taken I try to do something different. I don’t want to be the next star photographer, I’d just like my name to stand alone and bring content that isn’t usually appreciated and portrayed in the Caribbean. Most of my shoots aren’t models just friends and that’s one thing I want people to know because it doesn’t matter who you are or how you look you’re beautiful and deserve to have your picture taken.
This photo is my favourite picture i have ever taken. It took me approximately two weeks to get it right, I made my way to this rooftop and experimented constantly until I got the right angle, exposure, facial expression and much more. It is indeed a self portrait. I shot it using my Nikon D3300, my first ever DSLR. It was mounted on a tripod and self timer was my best friend. The photo speaks not only on the 5th of November role the mask represents, but it constantly reminds me about how much hard work pays off. It shows me in my expressive and relaxed form. To me it is one of the greatest images i have ever taken and will always be.

This photo represents someone who expresses themselves in the best way they can. After learning that you should feel comfortable in your environment to take a photo of yourself, I told her do some ballet poses. I even did some myself to make her more comfortable. The concept behind this photo was to use her favourite colour and incorporate it in the photograph.

This photo, another of my favourites, was taken with the idea that there are so many things in the world out there to learn that we have no clue about. Why don’t we start somewhere or make the effort to learn so that way we aren’t always in disagreement.
