I am James Mitchelle, I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, I found my love for photography, using my yard space to create fun and whimsical images. Over the years my style has changed, now I aspire to specialize in lifestyle, wedding and travel photography. I’m very grateful for the experiences and the opportunities I’ve been blessed with these past few years, and being able to capture the best moments make it even more enjoyable!

My photography is my passion and I really look forward to every opportunity I get to point my camera at something beautiful.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out! Let’s create something amazing!

9 Mile Bull Bay

In 9 Mile Bull Bay, with a few of my favourite people and my closest friends; each of us are artists in our own ways: some photographers, animators. This shot specifically stood out to me because my friend on the rock @seklof was looking at the ocean move back and forth, I’m assuming for animation study purposes and mental reference like he always does, it’s amazing

Sunset

This photo means a lot because there are many photographers I look up to, and Joby @jobythephotographer is and will always be one of them! So when I got the opportunity to hang out with her for the day and then have a shoot with her in the evening/sunset time was a really fun and memorable time for me!

Photo of Mario in Black and White, Moment captured of Mario Notice skating in Downtown, Kingston. One of the many hearts of Jamaican Skateboarding.

Kids Skateboarding

© James Mitchell

The skate culture here in Jamaica is so tiny it’s almost non-existent, but it’s been growing for the past few years and the growth has been amazing. I took this photo late last year and it’s one of my favourite photos ever, these kids have never touched a skateboard before this day and it’s a good feeling to know that I had the chance to capture that.

Kingston Creative Art Walk

© James Mitchell

Attending the Kingston Creative Art Walk with my best friend earlier this year was amazing, and ever since that first event we’ve been at all the others. This photo especially is one of my favorites I’ve ever taken at an Art Walk event. I saw her (anash_d_deejay) in this amazing outfit with perfect jewelry and a nice haircut to match, but she was being photographed by someone else across the way, and I’m shy when it comes to new people. So I leaned to my best friend and said “I really would love to shoot her right here with the sunset and everything!” and she walked right over there and came back with her, thus this crowd favorite photo was created.
