I am a photographer/filmmaker who has a deep passion for the art of capturing beauty in its natural state; a kind of art that speaks to you. I like to show the world a kind of art that connects with their perception of beauty, no matter how different their opinions on it may be. I love to create that space where everyone takes the time out to stop and collectively agree that this is beautiful, uniting the world for even a second. That’s who Sean Wilson is.
Katelyn Chai
Photographed at the Boardwalk Beach, Portmore, St. Catherine. Personally as a photographer, I love to incorporate shadows into my images; it adds a sense of contrast and depth. I then decided to use this location and let the surroundings do the rest.
Daena Soares
Photographed at the Hellshire Beach, Portmore, St. Catherine. Whilst scouting the location to give my idea of that different, non-conventional beach look, I decided to use this location for the minimalistic look I would achieve.
Romar Peart
Photographed at UWI, Mona. You would be led to believe this was shot in a studio. I’m here to tell you this was shot outside with cartridge paper and a tight portrait lens. My idea was to create a stunning portrait that demanded its presence to be known, something that uniquely fits, and this was just that.
Gabrielle Imani
Photographed in my backyard. In an effort to create a mixture between the natural vs. studio backdrop look, I decided to combine elements of both.
Stephanie Renee and Sara Dee Palmer
Photographed at an impromptu cartridge paper studio set up. I had initially wanted to capture the essence of the Black woman and how magnificent their skin and energy are, an empowering photo that brings women together to lift each other up and complement each other’s presence.
Aaliyah Nathan
Photographed at the Wicky Wacky Beach in Harbour View at golden hour. I wanted to create a stunning portrait that complemented the model’s skin. We found a dried palm bush and I used some impromptu creative skill to incorporate it into adding depth to the image.
