Hi, my name is Theo Thomas and I’m a 20-year-old Jamaican photographer living in the British Virgin Islands. I’m a person who loves emotion; I love when my (or someone else’s) work brings out a certain feeling in you. Just looking at that image makes you feel happy, sad, angry, whatever emotion it may be, I love it. Creatively, that is what I try to do in my work. I try to make you feel something.
Portrait Session
Dayna and I had shot a few times before and I can honestly say it gets better every time. Probably my most elegant portraits ever.
Beach Views
This was my first ever real shoot done in the morning. Usually I’m a sucker for golden hour but due to busy lives, it had to be done at this time. This is also the first time I could have honestly said I was seeing a great improvement in my work, so because of all those things, it remains one of my favourite shoots to date.
Immaculate Sunset
I AM SO PROUD OF THIS PHOTO! Haha, I took it at the near end of sunset during a very good beach day, if I do say so myself. I waited for the dog to run into frame, I waited for everyone to be in a great position and my patience paid off. Man, I love this photo!
Secrets
Aaliyah shows how different it is working with a model. When both of you know the vision and what you’re doing, magic is bound to be created, and that is what happened here. Love this photo, loved that shoot.
Together Forever
Another example of amazing people collaborating to create absolute magic. Despite how ridiculously hot that day was, you wouldn’t be able to tell (apart from maybe them not wearing shirts). We toured the island and made some wonderful content that day. I will remain forever grateful for days like those.
