Antillea, where the Greater Antilles and the Lesser Antilles meet as one, is a virtual event space created by the team at Caesar’s Army and technical partner Dingole Ltd. for public, private, and even corporate events.
On January 22, Caesar’s Army hosted its first virtual event on the new platform. The team has planned a series of events that will take place every Friday at 8 PM AST until February 12, which would have been Carnival Friday in Trinidad & Tobago this year. These events will feature live streaming DJs and possibly performing artists. Thanks to their sponsors, Angostura White Oak and Pizza Hut, all of the currently scheduled events are free!
How to access Antillea?
Step 1: Download AltspaceVR
Antillea is accessible through Microsoft’s AltspaceVR and Eventbrite. Download AltspaceVR from your preferred web browser or the Microsoft Store to your home desktop, laptop, or VR Headset.
Step 2: Create an AltspaceVR account
After downloading and launching AltspaceVR, sign up or log in (if you already have an account), and create and customize your avatar followed by a few tutorials.
Note that when you are signing up for a personal AltspaceVR account, as a safety precaution, be sure to use the same email address you used or plan to use for Eventbrite.
Step 3: Create/Log into your own Eventbrite account
Visit Eventbrite by clicking here and once you have created an account, follow the Caesar’s Army page and register to the Antillea Soca Series. You will receive a confirmation email immediately and a code to access the event an hour before it begins.
Step 4: Enjoy!
The current version of Antillea has three main locations for you and your friends to explore: Antillea Hub, Antillea West, and Antillea East. Meet up at the venue with your friends, find a spot for you all to use as a base, and live it up! Caesar’s Army’s Antillea is the perfect substitute in the absence of social gatherings as we know it. See you there!
