The dancehall hip hop crossover artist Zac Jone$ released the music video for his single ‘Miss Jamaica’ today. The song boasts elements of reggae/dancehall and new age hip hop, with samples from Alton Ellis’ 1977 record ‘I’m Still In Love With You’, later covered by Sean Paul in 2004, layered over a trap beat. Adding to the island vibe as well is the deep rhythmitic voice of dancehall artist Agent Sasco. The music video, directed by Jesse Suchomel and Zac Jone$ himself, features beautiful models each representing a different parish in Jamaica, against the back drop of popular natural destinations on the island.
The idea Jone$ wanted to bring across in the direction of the video and as detailed in the description of the project is showcasing “Jamaica as the premeir travel destination it is” and “matching the beauty and diversity of our island with that of our equally beautiful and diverse women”.
