Formerly Youth View Awards, the Your View Awards celebrates 10 years in February. The YVA is working to achieve the title of, “the Caribbean’s ultimate award show experience”; it was created to show appreciation to Jamaican music, dance, and entertainment culture.
As stated in the Jamaica Observer, Dancehall Deejay, Alkaline has been nominated in seven of the twenty-one diverse categories. These categories are: Favourite Dancehall Artiste, Favourite Local Artiste (Male), Favourite Caribbean Artiste, Hot Summer Song, Favourite Music Local or Regional Collaboration, and Favourite Local Chart-Topping Song. Following closely behind, Spice held six nominations, while Popcaan and Aidonia hold five each.
The YVA is slated for Saturday, February 24th 2018.
