Jamaica’s largest band is equipping masqueraders with POV Smart Glasses, travel gear, and a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip across the regional Carnival circuit.
GenXS Carnival is setting the stage for Carnival in Jamaica 2027 with the launch of Watch the Road, an ambitious pre-registration campaign designed to put the masquerader’s perspective front and center. Built around the tech-forward GenXS Smart Glasses, the campaign invites revelers to capture their personal road experience directly through their own lens.
Equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, interchangeable clear and tinted lenses, and high-definition point-of-view (POV) recording capabilities, the Smart Glasses allow masqueraders to stay locked into the music while capturing every high-energy moment. The concept carries directly onto the road on April 3 and 4, 2027, during GenXS Immortals J’Ouvert and GenXS Carnival in Jamaica. Masqueraders will be challenged to turn their raw road footage into a one-minute recap Reel on social media. The creator of the winning aftermovie will score an all-expenses-paid Carnival trip for two, with the choice to attend GenXS Miami 2027, ORO Luxury Carnival in Grenada 2027, or Trinidad Carnival with TRIBE in 2028.

Beyond the content challenge, the campaign gives early subscribers a head start on the season. Eligible first-tier pre-registrants unlock 72-hour priority access to costume registration—a key advantage given how quickly popular sections sell out—alongside a complimentary GenXS Immortals J’Ouvert T-shirt package valued at $125, complete with options for premium upgrades.
The campaign’s physical pre-registration package also drops a suite of travel and road essentials: two GenXS-branded insulated mugs, the new GenXS Moon Slides designed for post-road recovery and travel, and the GenXS Carry-On Capsule—a hard-shell travel case built with 360-degree spinner wheels, a telescoping handle, and reinforced locking, available in Obsidian Black, Space Dust Pink, and Nebula Red.
Monét Flowers, Acting Marketing Director of GenXS Carnival, emphasized that Watch the Road signals a major leap in the band’s creative and operational vision for 2027.
“We’re approaching the 2027 Carnival season by curating a GenXperience that we believe will redefine what our masqueraders expect from GenXS; from the first interaction with the brand to the moment they step onto the road,” Flowers said. “We’ve already shown Jamaica the level of experience GenXS can deliver, and that’s a big part of why we’ve grown to become the largest band in the country. So for 2027, we’ve taken it even further and Watch the Road gives patrons their first glimpse into that vision. Our GenXSers will definitely be over the moon this year because the costumes, the creative direction and the full GenXS road Xperience for 2027 are unlike anything we’ve brought to Jamaica before.”
By bridging Jamaica’s road with heavyweight regional partners like TRIBE in Trinidad, ORO Luxury Carnival in Grenada, and GenXS Miami in the diaspora, CARIB VOXX sees GenXS expanding its footprint while giving masqueraders tangible value long before they put on their feathers.
