Following Jemere Morgan’s Lead Single, Ghetto Youths International Expands the Modern One-Drop Rhythm into a Multi-Artist Compilation

In the rich landscape of Jamaican music, the juggling project remains one of the ultimate indicators of a producer’s curation and an Artist’s versatility. It is a timeless format: take one foundational instrumental, and run it back-to-back across an array of distinct voices, melodies, and narratives. For its latest cultural offering, independent powerhouse Ghetto Youths International is breathing fresh energy into this tradition with the official rollout of No Better Riddim, a dynamic Reggae compilation produced entirely by Grammy Award-winning multi-hyphenate Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

The juggling package expands upon the sonic architecture originally laid down for Jemere Morgan’s uplifting single “Know Better”. Rather than letting the track exist in a vacuum, Marley and the Ghetto Youths camp have strategically scaled the rhythm into a grander, multi-generational conversation—allowing different heavyweights to step up to the microphone and recontextualize the groove through their own creative lenses.

The next phase of the compilation officially arrived on June 12, anchored by two standout releases from some of the Caribbean’s most definitive vocalists.

Reggae songstress Alaine makes a welcome return to the arena with “Love Again”. Over a warm, contemporary one-drop Reggae rhythm crafted by Marley, Alaine delivers a soulful ballad exploring the enduring nature of true love. It is the kind of record that showcases the singer at the peak of her powers, seamlessly weaving a smooth R&B sensibility into an authentic island framework. Given its universal emotional resonance, “Love Again” is primed to become a quick favourite among global audiences and lovers of modern Caribbean music alike.

Sharing the release date is the heavy-hitting roots and lovers’ rock crooner Pressure Busspipe, who contributes the stellar track “So Amazing”. Known for his ability to serenade global audiences with unmistakable vocal clarity, Busspipe steps onto the Marley-produced instrumental to deliver an evocative tribute to women worldwide. The track echoes the smooth, melodic romance of his classic fan favourites like “Love and Affection,” demonstrating the expansive versatility of No Better Riddim while reinforcing its massive crossover appeal across traditional Reggae and contemporary fusion spaces.

Together, these records do more than execute a rollout; they underscore the musical diversity that defines the entire Ghetto Youths International ethos. By fusing foundational roots instrumentation with crisp, modern sonic execution, Marley ensures that each Artist’s individual identity cuts through cleanly while maintaining a cohesive listening experience from top to bottom.

The complete No Better Riddim compilation will continue its staggered rollout through June 2026, systematically seeding the project across global streaming networks, international airwaves, and dancehall selector culture. Listeners can expect a curated tracklist anchored heavily in love, conscious storytelling, and self-reflection—longtime hallmarks of the label’s rich history.

Co-founded by the legendary triumvirate of Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, and Julian Marley, Ghetto Youths International continues to serve as a vital incubator for authentic global roots music while continuously pushing the boundaries of the next generation of cultural voices. Expect more additions from the No Better Riddim catalogue to drop in the coming weeks.
