Lesley Hayles, also known as Lesley Odyssey on social media, has served as a dignitary within the Jamaican dancehall world as a public relations officer and an entertainment manager for quite some time. In the past, Hayles has worked with the likes of Munga Honorable, Gaza Sheba, Razor B and BridgeZ to name a few – and she is currently working with Riigz, Kristopher, Bramma, Gage and more.

After more than fifteen years in the entertainment industry, Hayles has decided to redirect her efforts within the space to music production. This decision was birthed out of a suggestion from a friend of hers, Anthony Haynes of Haynes Records label. Haynes granted Hayles with the push she needed by gifting her a set of instrumentals, created by him, in 2018.

Hayles’ first production offering to dancehall fans worldwide is the Ride Me Riddim which currently features six artists. Hayles makes an effort to shine light on three upcoming acts (Lajik, Star Strain and 1Leedah) by presenting them with the opportunity to appear side by side on this riddim with three already established artists (Ganggoolie, Ava “Sandy Star” Hayles and Mzs Quanny).

Official Tracklist

01. Sandy Star – “Just One”
02. Ganggoolie – “Shakalacka”
03. Star Stain – “Drink Sip”
04. 1Leedah – “Come Over”
05. Mzs Quanny – “Ride Me”
06. Lajik – “Wine & Bruk Out”
07. Lesley Hayles – “Ride Me Riddim (Instrumental)”

All tracks were mixed and mastered by Stephen “DJ Ali Patch” Hayles (Hayles’ younger brother) from Mixplosion Sound System. All artworks were created by Shomani “DJ Kitt” Hayles (another younger brother of Hayles) from Coppershot Sound System for his NAAS Artworks graphics design company.

Listeners can expect music videos for most of the tracks by the new year. The album was distributed by United Masters on November 13, 2020 – Hayles’ 40th birthday – as a gift for the usually conservative woman.

Hayles’ Ride Me Riddim is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and YouTube and it is available for purchase on iTunes. To keep up with Hayles’ new releases and more, follow or contact Lesley Hayles on social media and subscribe to her YouTube channel.
